Tinubu Celebrates Pastor Kumuyi at 85: 'Your Ministry Has Transformed Lives, Restored Families'

President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Founder and General Superintendent of Deeper Christian Life Ministry, Pastor William Kumuyi, on his 85th birthday, describing him as a revered Christian leader whose decades of ministry have profoundly impacted millions of lives in Nigeria and across the world.

In a goodwill message issued on Sunday to mark the occasion, President Tinubu commended Pastor Kumuyi's unwavering commitment to evangelism, biblical teaching, and spiritual development.

The President noted that Kumuyi's ministry has extended far beyond the pulpit, influencing individuals through his teachings, publications, and numerous outreach programmes.

Born on June 6, 1941, in Erin-Ijesha, Osun State, Pastor Kumuyi was a mathematics lecturer at the University of Lagos before dedicating himself fully to ministry. His involvement in campus fellowship activities eventually led to the founding of the Deeper Life Bible Church in 1973.

Over the years, the ministry has grown into a global Christian movement, attracting millions of followers and contributing significantly to the expansion of Pentecostal Christianity in Nigeria and beyond.

Widely recognised for his disciplined lifestyle, commitment to biblical doctrine, and passion for evangelism, Kumuyi has earned respect among religious leaders and believers alike.
