Remi Tinubu Leads Food Bank Launch in Ogun

The event is part of efforts to strengthen the Federal Government’s social intervention programmes and expand support for Nigerians facing economic hardship.
Governors, First Ladies and other dignitaries will on Tuesday converge on Ogun State for the zonal launch of the National Community Food Bank Programme, aimed at supporting vulnerable and indigent residents.
The programme will commence at Makun, Sagamu, where the First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, is expected to lead the distribution of food items to vulnerable households.
The event is part of efforts to strengthen the Federal Government’s social intervention programmes and expand support for Nigerians facing economic hardship.
According to a statement by the Special Adviser to the Ogun State Governor on Information and Strategy, Kayode Akinmade, Senator Tinubu will also commission the 108-unit Muhammadu Buhari Estate at Kobape, Abeokuta.
She is also expected to commission the Gateway Medical Centre of Excellence, a 250-bed ultra-modern hospital in Abeokuta designed to provide advanced healthcare services to residents of Ogun and neighbouring communities.
As part of her itinerary, the First Lady will hold an engagement with major stakeholders at the June 12 Cultural Centre, Kuto, Abeokuta.
The visit is expected to deepen collaboration between the Federal and Ogun State governments in social welfare, housing and healthcare delivery, while reinforcing their commitment to improving the welfare and living conditions of Nigerians.
