Rema Acquires Luxury Home in Dubai’s One by Binghatti Development

Nigerian Afrobeats star Rema has added a luxury apartment in Dubai to his growing real estate portfolio, becoming the latest high-profile homeowner at One by Binghatti.

The announcement was made by Binghatti Holdings, the Dubai-based luxury real estate developer. Company executive Essam Raghab shared the news on Instagram, posting photos from the official signing ceremony held at the Grand Hyatt Dubai. The event was led by Binghatti’s Chief Sales Officer Abdullah Binghatti and senior management. Binghatti stated: “Binghatti proudly announces a global singer and songwriter Rema as the newest homeowner at One by Binghatti.”

One by Binghatti is a waterfront residential tower in Business Bay, one of Dubai’s most vibrant districts. The high-rise development is located along Marasi Drive with views of the Dubai Canal, the Downtown skyline, and Burj Khalifa. It is just minutes from Dubai Mall and other key landmarks. The project offers studios through four-bedroom royal penthouses (some with private pools), smart-home features, and amenities including an infinity pool, fitness facilities, and landscaped outdoor areas. Handover is scheduled for Q4 2026.

This purchase expands Rema’s property holdings and places him among other prominent Nigerians with real estate in Dubai, including billionaire Abdulsamad Rabiu, businessman Femi Otedola, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, and former footballer Odion Ighalo.

Rema, born Divine Ikubor in Benin City, rose to global prominence after his 2019 breakthrough and the massive success of “Calm Down,” which topped charts across the Middle East and North Africa and became one of the most-streamed African tracks of all time. His music maintains strong traction in the UAE, making Dubai a practical and lifestyle choice as he continues releasing music and touring.

For a young international artist, owning property in a major global city like Dubai serves dual purposes: a long-term investment in a robust real estate market and a convenient private base during performances and stays in the region. Specific details about the unit and purchase price have not been publicly disclosed.

The move highlights Rema’s rising status and reflects the broader trend of successful African creatives and entrepreneurs establishing footholds in Dubai’s luxury property market.
