P-Square Twins Clash Again Over ‘Fake Reunion’ Claims
Nigerian music twins Peter Okoye (Mr P) and Paul Okoye (Rudeboy) are once again in the spotlight after Peter described their 2021 P-Square reunion as “fake.” In a new video, Mr P revealed he rejected proposals for a joint bank account and an uneven profit split of 35% each for the twins and 30% for their elder brother Jude, insisting he wanted family reconciliation rather than a forced musical comeback. The claims have reignited public debate over the iconic duo’s future.

Lagos, Nigeria – August 1, 2026 — The long-running saga between Nigerian music twins Peter Okoye (Mr P) and Paul Okoye (Rudeboy) has erupted once more, with Peter publicly describing their 2021 reunion as a “fake reunion” and rejecting fresh attempts to revive the iconic duo P-Square.
In a new video circulating on social media, Mr P detailed unresolved family and business tensions, particularly involving their elder brother and former manager, Jude Okoye. He revealed that while he sought genuine reconciliation as brothers, others pushed for a full musical comeback under the P-Square brand.
Peter claimed that after a personal reconciliation in November 2021, discussions quickly turned to business. He alleged that a proposal emerged for a new joint bank account for shows, alongside an uneven profit-sharing formula: 35% each for the twins and 30% for their brother Jude. Mr P said he rejected the arrangement, viewing it as unfair and not aligned with his desire for family healing rather than a forced group revival.
“I never wanted P-Square back. All I wanted was for the brothers to come back as family,” Peter stated, emphasizing that the 2021 announcement was more optics than a committed musical partnership. He accused his twin of ongoing attempts to damage his reputation through public comments.
The fresh revelations have reignited fan debates, with many expressing disappointment over the recurring rift while others urge the brothers to settle their differences privately. Paul Okoye (Rudeboy) has not yet responded publicly to the latest claims.
The twins, who dominated Afrobeats with hits in the 2000s and 2010s, first split around 2017 before a highly publicized 2021 reunion that ultimately failed to produce significant new music as a duo. Both have since pursued successful solo careers.
This latest exchange highlights persistent challenges of family, business, and ego in one of Nigeria’s most celebrated music acts. Fans continue to hope for a genuine, lasting reconciliation.
