Iran Threatens Missile Strikes, Hormuz Strait Closure After Cancelling Planned Switzerland Talks

Iran has threatened to resume missile attacks and close the strategically important Strait of Hormuz after withdrawing from a planned peace meeting with the United States in Switzerland.
According to Iranian media reports, Tehran also warned that it could suspend all future negotiations, claiming that the United States had violated the first clause of a recently signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
Iran said the alleged breach stemmed from Israel's continued military operations in southern Lebanon, which it argues contradict the agreement's commitment to ending hostilities in the region.
The reported developments come less than 24 hours after the MoU was electronically signed, raising fresh concerns over the future of diplomatic efforts to ease tensions between Washington and Tehran.
Neither the United States nor Switzerland had immediately issued an official statement confirming the cancellation of the planned talks or responding to Iran's allegations at the time of reporting.
