Gov Uba Sani's Leadership Reflects True Spirit of June 12 — KADRA Boss

The Managing Director of the Kaduna State Roads Agency (KADRA), Dr. Abdullahi Baba Ahmed, has said Governor Uba Sani, CON, remains a shining example of the ideals and values that June 12 represents, describing his leadership as a reflection of the democratic principles of justice, inclusion, accountability and service to the people.

In a statement marking the 2026 Democracy Day celebration, the KADRA boss noted that Governor Uba Sani was among the pro-democracy activists who stood firmly for the restoration of democratic governance in Nigeria, adding that his contributions to the struggle continue to inspire many across the country.

According to him, June 12 remains a landmark in Nigeria's democratic history and a reminder of the sacrifices made by patriotic citizens who fought for freedom, constitutional governance and the protection of fundamental rights.

Dr. Baba Ahmed said Governor Uba Sani's transition from a frontline democracy advocate to the Governor of Kaduna State demonstrates the enduring relevance of the ideals that shaped the June 12 movement.

"Governor Uba Sani's leadership reflects the true spirit of June 12. He stood with millions of Nigerians in the struggle for democracy and continues to uphold those values through inclusive governance, transparency and policies that place the welfare of citizens at the centre of government activities," he said.

The KADRA Managing Director observed that the governor's administration has remained committed to expanding infrastructure, improving public services and promoting socio-economic development across Kaduna State.

He particularly commended Governor Uba Sani's efforts in road infrastructure development, rural connectivity and community-based projects, noting that such interventions are helping to unlock economic opportunities and improve the lives of citizens.

According to him, the administration's focus on equitable development and citizen-centred governance reflects the core principles for which many democracy activists fought during the struggle for democratic rule.

"Democracy is best measured by its impact on the lives of the people. Governor Uba Sani has continued to demonstrate a strong commitment to delivering the dividends of democracy through policies and projects that promote growth, inclusion and shared prosperity," Dr. Baba Ahmed added.

He congratulated the governor and the people of Kaduna State on the occasion of the 2026 Democracy Day celebration and urged Nigerians to continue supporting democratic institutions and the collective efforts toward national development.

The KADRA boss further reaffirmed the agency's commitment to supporting the administration's vision of building a more connected, prosperous and economically vibrant Kaduna State through sustainable road infrastructure development and efficient service delivery.
