Gov Uba Sani's Journey Reflects Ideals of June 12, Says KADIRS Boss

The Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service (KADIRS), Comrd. Jerry Adams, has said the political and leadership journey of Governor Uba Sani, CON, reflects the democratic ideals that June 12 represents, citing his contributions to Nigeria's pro-democracy movement and his commitment to inclusive governance.

He stated this on Friday in his Democracy Day message to commemorate the June 12 anniversary.

According to him, Governor Uba Sani was among Nigerians who stood firmly for justice, freedom and democratic governance during the nation's struggle for the restoration of democracy.

He noted that the governor's role in the pro-democracy movement demonstrated courage and resilience at a critical period in Nigeria's history, adding that his commitment to democratic principles has remained evident in his approach to governance.

"As Nigerians commemorate Democracy Day, we celebrate Governor Uba Sani for his remarkable contributions to the struggle for the restoration and sustenance of democratic governance in Nigeria," the statement said.

Jerry observed that June 12 remains a significant symbol of sacrifice, patriotism and the collective struggle for democratic rule, stressing that the anniversary provides an opportunity to recognise individuals whose efforts helped strengthen democracy in the country.

He further stated that Governor Uba Sani's leadership continues to reflect the values championed during the democracy struggle, including accountability, inclusion, social justice and service to the people.

It added that the governor's administration has continued to pursue policies aimed at improving the welfare of citizens and expanding development opportunities across Kaduna State.

According to the statement, Uba Sani's progression from a pro-democracy activist to the governor of Kaduna State underscores the enduring relevance of the principles that inspired the June 12 movement.

He described the governor as a leader whose public service record reflects a commitment to democratic governance and people-centred development.

The KADIRS boss congratulated Governor Uba Sani on the occasion of the 2026 Democracy Day celebration and wished him continued success in his efforts to advance peace, development and good governance in Kaduna State.
