Emmanuel Obasi Breaks Down in Tears Recalling Judy Austin’s Alleged Affair with Yul Edochie During Their Marriage

In a highly emotional episode of The Honest Bunch podcast that has taken Nigerian social media by storm, Emmanuel Obasi — the ex-husband of Nollywood actress Judy Austin — opened up about the pain of his failed marriage, alleging that Yul Edochie was involved with his then-wife while they were still together. The interview, which featured Obasi visibly tearing up, has reignited public discussions around the long-running Edochie family saga.

Obasi, who shares two children with Judy Austin (whose full name he gave as Judy Uche Chukumo Ogalo), appeared on the podcast holding what he described as traditional bride price items from their 2007 marriage. He claimed their union lasted until around 2013 and accused Austin of developing a strong admiration for Yul Edochie that turned into an affair under his own roof.

According to Obasi, whenever Yul appeared on television, Judy would lose focus and openly express her affection for the actor to him. “I have evidence that they were dating under my roof,” he stated, promising to present four pieces of evidence in the full episode. He shared old marriage photos during the interview to support his narrative and expressed deep hurt with the rhetorical question, “Wetin man do man?” (What did one man do to another?).

Obasi’s appearance comes after Yul Edochie’s own interview on the same podcast, where he discussed his separation from his first wife, May Edochie. Obasi has previously responded to Yul’s comments with cryptic posts about betrayal and adultery, and in this latest conversation, he delved deeper into his personal grievances.

One of the most poignant aspects of Obasi’s story is his prolonged separation from his children. He has repeatedly alleged that Judy Austin has denied him access to their two children (now teenagers) for over a decade since their marriage ended. In past statements, he expressed fear for their well-being, saying he didn’t even know if they were alive, and contrasted this with Judy’s frequent public sharing of her children with Yul Edochie.

He has also claimed responsibility for sponsoring Judy’s university education during their marriage and positioned himself as a stable provider at the time.
