Nigerian music fans are buzzing after dancehall and rap icon Cynthia Morgan (now known as Madrina) dropped a scorching freestyle cover of 6uff and ODUMODUBLVCK’s street anthem “10 Minutes.” The move, which surfaced around June 13, 2026, signals a potential full-fledged comeback for the Benin City-born artist who dominated the scene over a decade ago.

Born Cynthia Ikponmwenosa Morgan on September 23, 1991, in Benin City, Edo State, Morgan rose to prominence in the early 2010s with infectious hits that blended pop, hip-hop, dancehall, and rap. Tracks like “Don’t Break My Heart,” “Lead Me On,” “German Juice,” “Bubble Bup” (featuring Stonebwoy), and “Come and Do” turned her into one of Nigeria’s most exciting female voices and earned her a Next Rated nomination at the Headies.

Signed to Northside Entertainment, her career soared with club bangers and massive airplay. However, label disputes, alleged lost royalties, and personal challenges led to a gradual fade from the spotlight. She rebranded as Madrina, ventured into real estate and ministry, and largely stepped back from music for several years. Fans have long clamored for her return, reminiscing about her energetic delivery, patois-infused style, and unapologetic presence.
