Burna Boy Confirms Return to London Stadium for 2027 Show

Nigerian Afrobeats superstar Burna Boy has confirmed he will return to London Stadium in 2027, marking his third headline performance at the iconic 80,000-capacity venue.

The announcement came via the artist’s Instagram Stories on August 3, 2026, and immediately sparked excitement across social media. Fans and media accounts quickly shared screenshots and graphics highlighting his previous sold-out shows in 2023 and 2024, with 2027 now locked in. Many framed the news as another historic chapter, noting that Burna Boy remains the only African artist to have sold out a UK stadium.

Burna Boy first made history at London Stadium on June 3, 2023, becoming the first African solo artist to headline a UK stadium. The sold-out night drew around 60,000 fans and featured high-profile guests including Stormzy, Dave, J Hus, and Popcaan. Critics praised the swaggering, star-studded performance as a major milestone for Afrobeats on the global stage.

He returned the following year on June 29, 2024, as part of his I Told Them… Tour. That show also sold out the venue (with reported figures ranging from around 59,000 to the full 80,000 capacity, depending on configuration), grossed over $6.1 million, and featured guests such as Snoh Aalegra, Omah Lay, Shallipopi, and Pheelz. The concert further cemented his dominance and is widely regarded as one of the highest-grossing single shows by an African artist.

The 2027 date continues this pattern of success at the East London venue, which has become something of a spiritual home for the Grammy winner (real name Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu).

The confirmation arrives amid ongoing momentum for the African Giant. In 2026 he has already delivered major performances, including a headline set at Reggae Land at Milton Keynes National Bowl. Earlier on the day of the stadium tease, attention also focused on a custom diamond-encrusted pendant he unveiled, designed to commemorate his London Stadium sell-outs and engraved with the countries he has performed in.

Exact dates, support acts, ticket on-sale information, and tour packaging for the 2027 London Stadium show have not yet been detailed. Given the rapid sell-outs of his previous visits, demand is expected to be extremely high once tickets become available.

Burna Boy’s repeated conquests of London Stadium underscore the global commercial and cultural power of Afrobeats. What began as a groundbreaking first in 2023 has evolved into a recurring event that draws tens of thousands and reinforces his status as one of the most successful African artists of his generation. Fans are already gearing up for what promises to be another landmark night in East London.
